BREAKING: DSS Releases Obadiah Mailafia

A former presidential aspirant and ex-deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Obadiah Mailafia, has been released after hours of being grilled by the Department of State Services (DSS).

The DSS had summoned Mailafia for questioning after he claimed on a radio programme that a governor from the northern part of Nigeria is a leader of the Boko Haram sect.

The former presidential aspirant had said that the information was revealed to him by some repentant Boko Haram members.

Mailafia reported to the office of the state security service in Jos alongside his lawyers, Pius Akubo (SAN) and Yakubu Bawa.
