BREAKING: Lagos Gov Signs VAT Bill Into Law

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has signed the VAT Bill recently passed by the state’s House of Assembly into the law.

The state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced the signing in a statement on Friday.

The new law will allow the Lagos State Government impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services.

Omotoso said, “Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed into law the State VAT Bill as passed by the House of Assembly.

“The Governor signed the “bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services” at about 11. 45 am today, after returning from an official trip to Abuja.

“By this act, the Bill has now become a Law.”
