BREAKING: Mama Taraba Dies At 61

Nigeria’s former Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba, has died at the age of 61.

Al-Hassan, who was appointed minister in 2015 by President Muhammadu Buhari, had resigned the position in 2018. 

The Taraba-born politician was at different times a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

She was once the Senator representing Taraba North senatorial district of Taraba State.
