BREAKING: NECO Common Entrance Admission List Out Monday – Education Ministry

The Federal Ministry of Education has said that the first batch of the admission list for candidates who passed the 2020 National Common Entrance Examination would be published on its website on November 23 (Monday).

This was disclosed in a statement on Friday, signed by the Ministry’s Director, Press and Public Relations, Ben Bem Goong.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that the National Examination Council(NECO) had on Monday, released the 2020 National Common Entrance Examination for 2020/2021 Academic session, while putting the national cut off mark at 142.

The organization also said that out of 70,580 candidates, 24,416 passed, scoring a minimum of 66.

Goong added that “admission letters will be available for collection at the Unity Colleges on the 24th November, 2020.”

“Barely three days after the receipt of the results of the National Common Entrance Examination for admission into the country’s 110 Unity Colleges, the Federal Ministry of Education has released the first batch of merit-based admission into Unity Colleges in line with the directives of Education Minister, Adamu Adamu.

“Receiving the results of the 2020/2021 National Common Entrance from the chief examiner, the Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Professor Godswill Obioma, the Minister directed that within 72 hours of the receipt of the results, principals are to complete both the merit based (60%) and 30% equality of states’ admissions.”

“The results were transmitted to principals on Wednesday, 18th November, 2020 by the Basic and Secondary Education Department of the Ministry, which is saddled with the responsibility.

“Within the stipulated timeframe, both the merit based and equality of States’ admissions are now ready. Candidates are advised to check the admission list which will be posted on the website of the Ministry on Monday, the 23rd November, 2020.

“Congratulations to all our successful candidates.”
