BREAKING: Trump Plays Malema Video Chanting ‘Kill The Farmer’ During Ramaphosa Visit
United States President Donald Trump, on Wednesday, played an old controversial video of South African political leader Julius Malema allegedly chanting “kill the farmer” during a meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa at the White House.
Trump demanded that the South African leader responds to the footage.
The video, which reportedly shows Malema leading supporters in chanting “Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer” at a political rally, had sparked renewed debate about land reform in South Africa.
Malema is the leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party.
Trump’s demand for answers comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and South Africa.
The meeting at the White House was intended to address trade, security cooperation, and Africa’s role in global affairs.

However, Trump’s decision to introduce the video into the discussion shifted the tone of the engagement.
The video had resurfaced months earlier on social media and drew criticism from American billionaire Elon Musk.
The Tesla CEO reposted the clip on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “He is chanting ‘kill the white farmers’ to a cheering stadium.”
