Buhari Visits Daura Again…Second Time In One Month

Less than a month after he visited Daura in Katsina State on a 7-day vacation, President Muhammadu Buhari would be spending the next four days in his hometown.

Buhari arrived in Katsina via the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport and was flown to the helipad in Daura, the Presidency said on Friday night.

The President’s senior media assistant, Garba Shehu, said his principal would be engaging in the membership registration and revalidation exercise of his All Progressives Congress (APC) party during the visit.

THE WHISTLER reported that Buhari had participated in second to the last Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in 2020 from his private residence in Daura.

During his arrival for the current visit, the President was received at the airport by Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, the Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and the state’s Chief Judge.

Shehu said, “In Daura, the Emir, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, led District Heads and traditional title holders to receive the President at the Helipad.

“In the course of his stay in Daura, he is expected to, among other engagements, participate in the All Progressives Party, APC membership registration and revalidation exercise.

“The President considers this exercise as a very important one for the nation’s democracy and its yearning for good leadership as a requirement of the process of nation building.”

The presidential aide added that Buhari would return to the seat of power on Tuesday.
