COVID-19: Total Donates 10,000 Face Masks To Army, Seeks Support In Protection Of Assets

Total Nigeria Ltd has donated 10,000 surgical masks to troops of 6 Division of the Nigerian Army.

The surgical masks, the company noted, would help to protect the troops as the country battles the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It also commended the Nigerian Army for its support in protecting the critical assets of the nation as well as that of the company.

The security Coordinator of the Company Major Obagi Bagna (Retd), made this known on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt, Major Gen Ibrahim Mohammed Jallo.

Bagna lauded the Division for their relentless activities in securing the critical assets of the company and also moving personnel and equipments through escort duties and others.

He also used the opportunity to congratulate the GOC on his appointment and solicited for more synergy between the company and 6 Division of the Nigerian Army.

On his part, Jallo commended the company for the donation of the surgical masks, adding that it was a good gesture.

He further said that the donation would go a long way in helping troops in the field who are exposed to contacting Covid-19.

He promised the management of the company that the Army will always continue to support them.
