Dangote Confirms Registration Of Three Oil Marketers As Distributors

Dangote Refinery on Tuesday confirmed the registration of three oil associations of marketers in the Nigerian oil sector as distributors.

Recall that the refinery commenced the production of diesel and aviation fuel on January 12, 2023, with seven major oil marketers in Nigeria registering with the refinery for the lifting and distribution of refined petroleum products.

Confirming the approval of oil marketers, the Dangote Group In a post on its X revealed the members to be the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, (MOMAN) and Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, (IPMAN).

The post also noted that the Dangote group is considering the registration of other oil marketers who have an interest in the production capacity of the $20bn plant.

The Dangote Group has yet to disclose when the refined products would be available in the market for purchase. Also, no official date has been announced for the production of Premium Motor Spirit, (PMS).
