‘Davido, Go To Church,’ Fans Offer Advice After Death Of Another Associate

Davido is mourning again! The latest death to hit him is that of his personal photographer, Fortunate Umunname. He’s the second associate of the musician to die this year following the demise of Uthman(Obama) in June this year.

This is in addition to three aides who had died recently, namely Tagbo Umeike( who died inside his car in 2017), Olu Abiodun and Tijani, his body guard of 11 years who died late last year.

Ummuname reportedly drowned at an undisclosed location in Lagos on Tuesday 21 September 2021.

A Twitter user, @Dianacoco_ broke the sad news early Wednesday morning. “Davido photographer Fortune is dead, Jesus Christ. I’m heartbroken, he’s my friend,” she had tweeted.

She described the late photographer as “so hardworking” and “very ambitious”.

Actor, Feranmi, also took to his Instagram story, to speak on the late photographer, “Been trying to keep my cool since but it’s a crazy mixed feeling for me. Had a shoot with Fortune right after my singing with Calufast and I got to the location and he was gone. He was out there trying to get angles at a very weird place that took him. I don’t even know how to feel.”

But while Davido grieves, his fans have reacted to the many deaths among his crew and offer their advice.

Some have advised him to seek God’s protection against further tragedies.

@DanashaEmmaunel said, “Personally I think Davido needs to go to church. Because this shit is becoming too much… I lost my dad, my grandma, and my favourite aunt in less than 6month. Different months and days. So l know how frustrating this shit can be.”

@OgbitebuMichael also said, “Davido wasn’t the only celeb late Fortune worked with, the deceased has worked with Pogba, Lil Baby, Wizkid, Jidenna, Tiwa, Burna, Patoranking, Akon et al. so stop with the accusations; RIP to the deceased. Davido and his crew should go into serious prayers because something is wrong.”

However, some of his fan base reject the suggestion, saying the deaths had nothing to do with their favourite singer.
