The agricultural inputs include cassava stem, rice seed, fertilizer and herbicides. The initiative is aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and stimulating rural economy in the state. All the beneficiaries have been contacted accordingly, THE WHISTLER gathered.

Meanwhile, it has been a beehive of activities at the Enugu Small and Medium Enterprises Centre as start-up enterpreneurs struggle to register business names, which were recently declared free of charge by the federal government.

An applicant, Anayo Benjamin, told our correspondent that, “Nigeria is gradually moving towards private-sector driven economy. So, we have no options than to follow the trend. Again that’s the only way to benefit from various loans.”
