Former Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, Seydou Elimane Diarra (86), is dead.
This is coming thirteen days after the death(on July 8) of Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly; who passed on at a hospital, after a council meeting.
Diarra served the nation in that capacity, in year 2000, and from 2003 to 2005.
The country’s President Alassane Ouattara, confirmed this in a tweet on Monday.
“It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of my uncle, Seydou Elimane Diarra, former Prime Minister of Cote d’Ivoire.
“I salute the memory of a great diplomat, a statesman and of consensus, to whom my wife Dominique and I were very attached,” he tweeted.
The government did not disclose what caused his demise, at the time of this report.
