Fresh Attack In Plateau Leaves 20 Dead

No fewer than 20 people are feared dead after gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked a community on Nkyie Dongwro village in Miango district of Bassa Local Government Area in Plateau State.

The attack which occurred in the early hours of Monday, comes less than 24 hours after six people were killed in a late-night sneak attack on Ta’agbe village, also in Miango.

The attacks are in breach of a curfew imposed by Governor Simon Lalong.

The governor imposed the curfew on Saturday after which he vowed to identify and prosecute all those behind the attack on Ta’agbe village.

The curfew however, did not deter the attackers from carrying out a second attack less than 24 hour after the first.
