The event leading to his exit from Madrid was due to a policy by the club’s president Florentino Perez which holds that only one-year contracts will be handed to players over 30.

The 35-year-old wanted a two-year deal following the expiration of his contract at Madrid.

Ramos made 671 appearances for Madrid, scoring 101 goals.

Ramos reacting to his move to PSG tweeted, “The best place to keep dreaming, the best club to keep winning. We will fight with everything and for everything.”
