Kano Police Rescue Another Man Locked Up By Father For 15 Years

The Nigeria Police Kano has again rescued another man, Ibrahim Lawan, 35,
who was alleged to have been kept in solitary confinement by his father ,Malam Lawan at Sheka Unguwar Fulani adjacent Gidan Mai Unguwa Bello, Kumbotso Local Government Area for 15 years.

An eye witness was said to have tipped-off the police who moved in on Sunday morning and evacuated the man now on admission at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, (AKTH)

.It would be recalled that a man was recently rescued from similar confinement for 7 years.

The image maker of Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed that a team from the command stormed the residence on Sunday morning at about 11.00 am where the young man was rescued.

It was then gathered that the father of the victim, Mallam Lawan, who is a Friday Mosque Chief Imam, could not be found.

However as at the time of filing this report, a team of policemen and NAPTIP were still at the
residence of the victim.

The Command’s spokesman told pressmen that he would called the journalists as soon they conclude investigation.
