Katsina Governor Radda Gives 35 Rescued Abducted Victims N3.5m To ‘Rebuild Lives’

No fewer than 35 abducted victims rescued by the Nigerian Army received N100,000 each after meeting with Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohammed, in a statement revealed that the fund was a gesture from the state governor to help rebuild their lives.

Troops of the Joint Task Force North West Operation Hadarin Dani (OPHD), during a clearance operation in Katsina forest, rescued the abducted victims on January 27.

Governor Radda received the rescued victims in his office on Monday, abducted from Tashar Nagulle, Nahuta and Batsari Local Government Area of the state.

The statement from the Katsina government commended the Nigerian Army’s efforts in the rescue operation that gave freedom to the individuals unhurt.

The State government further disclosed plans to provide free medical assistance for victims of attacks, allowances for security agencies, and educational support for those who lost parents during terrorist attacks.
