Recall that the quest to become the next governor of the commercial hub of Nigeria is between two major contenders, the APC’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jimi Agbaje.

The meeting which will hold at 3 p.m. today at the party secretariat on Acme road, Ogba, Ikeja, will have party leaders and stakeholders in Lagos State in attendance.

APC State Secretary, Hon Dr Wale Ahmed, in a statement said issues that will be discussed include how to ensure the success of the party during the March 9 governorship and state houses of assembly meeting.

Recall that Tinubu, last week, ordered the party leaders in Lagos State to ensure the party secures maximum votes on Saturday.

“Please, don’t praise me, I don’t need your praises, after the poor performance you all put up at the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state,” he had told them during a meeting.

“It showed that most of the chieftains and council chairmen did not mobilize the grassroots after all the support from the party.

“I will not condone this act any further. Party leaders and council chairmen who fail to perform to expectation at the next governorship and House of Assembly polls on March 9, should be ready to resign or face the music,” he was quoted to have said.
