Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara said on Thursday that he had a phone conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari late Wednesday.
The Speaker, who stated this via his official Twitter handleon Thursday, saidthe President expressed worry about food security for all Nigerians.
He further stated that President Buhari was bent on ensuring that the sufferings endured by Nigerians last year will not repeat itself in 2017.
Nigeria’s economy is currently in its worst state in more than a decade, with inflation rising to an 11-year high in January necessitated by growing cost of food prices.

Recall, that Senate President, Bukola Saraki disclosed early Thursday that he spoke with President Buhari on phone.
The President is currently on medical leave in London, the United Kingdom.
