Malami Donates Palliatives To Five Thousand Kebbi Households

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has donated ten trucks of assorted foodstuffs to over five thousand Indigent households in Kebbi State. 

The gesture, according to a statement, was part of Malami’s desire to improve the living condition of the  masses in line with the objectives of President Muhammadu Buhari’s public’ oriented administration.

The statement, signed by the Publicity Secretary of the Khadimiyya Initiative for Justice and Development, which handled the distribution, said the donation would  serve as palliatives against the hardship caused by the Coronavirus pandemic adding that it would assist the less privileged especially in the period of Ramadan .

It explained that  the items donated by Malami included 2,600 bags of rice, 1,000 bags of Sugar, 300 cartons of Spaghetti, 1,000 bags of Millet, and 1000 jerry cans  of vegetable oil. 

The statement said Malami directed that priority  should be accorded to the orphans, disabled, widows and the less privileged. 

“The Minister’s benevolence also covers religious leaders and  the most vulnerable in the society amongst the five thousand households”, it stressed.

The statement further noted that Malami called on the  Muslim faithful in the state to use the month of Ramadan to pray for an end to the Coronavirus  pandemic, peaceful cooexistance and relief from the current challenges.
