COVID-19: Abia Discharges Index Case

The Abia State government has discharged the index case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) from its treatment centre.

Governor of the State, Okezie Ikpeazu, disclosed this on Friday, while giving an update on the disease in Umuahia, the state capital.

According to Ikpeazu, plans by the state government to relax the ongoing lockdown in the state in the coming days were in the offing.

He however, noted that relaxing the lockdown would be implemented under strict protocol guidelines.
