Many Injured As Bus Conveying Perishable Goods Rams Into Tricycle Riders

A bus conveying some perishable goods from Nsukka to Enugu, Tuesday, lost control due to brake failure, and rammed into tricycle (keke) commercial parks.

The incident happened at NOWAS junction in Enugu East Local Government Area, causing gridlocks in the process.

An eye witness, CY Ajah said, “The break of the bus failed, hit some riders and traders, as well as some Keke riders. Though no life was lost, about four persons sustained serious injuries. The incident occured about 12:17pm.”

Another eye witness said, “The driver was already stopped by the traffic light. He tried to control the movement of the vehicle, but the brake could not hold. It ran into the Keke park, injuring some people, including the driver.”
