Ministry Of Health Commends Thisday For Donating Property For Use As Isolation Centre

The federal ministry of health has applauded the publisher of Thisday newspaper, Nduka Obaigbena for donating the dome as an isolation centre for Coronavirus patients.

As part of measures to tackle COVID-19, the private sector had joined the government in making provision for facilities that could be used for treatment.

This necessitated the newspaper’s donation of the event center, located in the Central Business District, to be converted into 320 bed isolation center.

The minister of health, Osagie Ehanire,on Tuesday expressed satisfaction with the level of work at the dome which the government has fitted with utilities and other necessities for management of COVID-19 patients.

He was accompanied on the visit by top management officials of the ministry of health.

The dome, which is owned by Leaders and Company (Publishers of Thisday Newspaper),  usually hosts high class social events in Abuja.
