NEMA Contract Scam: Reps Summon Osinbajo, Oya-Ita, Magu, Others

The House of Representatives committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, on Thursday, said it would summon Vice President Yemi Osinbajo over alleged violation of public trust.

The House Committee will invite Osinbajo, who is the Board Chairman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), over the suspension of six directors in the agency.

The committee, which announced this during a public hearing today, said it would equally invite Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, alongside the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifre Oyo-Ita, for questioning.

The governing board of NEMA had, on April 3 when it was inaugurated, suspended the directors for allegedly kicking against the inappropriate implementation of contracts by the agency’s Director-General.
