Nigerians React As Buhari Says ‘My Second Term Will Be Tough’

President Muhammadu Buhari’s statement on Friday that his second term in office ‘‘is going to be tough” has sparked reactions on social media.

Buhari, who emerged victorious over Alhaji Atiku Abubakr in the February 23 presidential election, said he had continuously reminded Nigerians of his pledge to ensure security and build a robust economy by providing employment as part of the cardinal agenda of his government

The President stated this while receiving members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) who paid a courtesy call on him at the State House in Abuja over his electoral victory.

“My last lap of four years, I think is going to be tough. People are very forgetful and that’s why during the campaign I spoke about our cardinal agenda,” Buhari told the FEC members.

The statement has since drawn reactions from Nigerians who aren’t clear as to if the President was referring to just his cabinet members or the citizens at large.
