Organisers of the February 6th planned protest on the state of the Nigerian economy, Enough Is Enough (EIE) group, has stated that the exercise will go ahead as scheduled in Abuja and Lagos on Monday.
In a lengthy statement on Sunday, the group said they will not bow to pressure from security agencies who have taken it upon themselves to “stifle” the rights of Nigerians.
Recall, that Nigerian ace musician Innocent “2Face” Idibia on Saturday pulled out of the planned protest, citing security reasons.
The group while lining up critical issues which necessitated the planned action, called on patriotic Nigerians who live in other cities across the country to come out and make their voices heard.
The exercise is expected to hold at Unity Fountain Abuja from 9am and the National Stadium Lagos from 8am, Monday February 6th, 2017, the organisers said.
