Police Rescue Five Abducted Female Students In Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command says it has rescued five female students abducted from the Government Secondary School, Kaya, in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.

The state’s police spokesperson, Muhammed Shehu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

This development came over 24 hours after armed kidnappers invaded the school and abducted 73 males and female students.

The statement revealed that the police was partnering with other security agencies to rescue the remaining 68 victims from their captors.

“The victims were medically checked at the hospital, debriefed by the Police and reunite the victims with their families.

“The Commissioner of Police CP Ayuba N. Elkana psc + assured the people of the State that, the ongoing search and rescue effort will be sustained, so that the remaining abducted students will be rescued hale and hearty,” the police said.
