Salisu Yusuf Finally Seals Super Eagles Deal

Following weeks of uncertainty, Salisu Yusuf has signed a contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF as chief coach of the Super Eagles, after the pair reached an agreement on Tuesday.

The former Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United coach who disclosed this to journalist after a meeting NFF president, Amaju Pinnick at The football secretariat in Abuja on Monday, added that he was satisfied with the contract he was given.

Salisu is reportedly expected to receive N5m monthly.

“I have been offered a contract as Super Eagles Chief Coach and I am pleased with it.

“I don’t have problem with the NFF or the technical adviser and other officials of the Super Eagles, so I am happy to continue with the job.

“The NFF president promised that the contract will be made to me and he has lived up to his promise, and I must thank him for the gesture. On my part, I Salisu Yusuf who has been working without contract for months stated will do my best with the other members of the technical crew to ensure that the a Super Eagles qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.”

After the Super Eagles’ 2-1 victory over Zambia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier in Ndola, technical adviser, Gernot Rohr, expressed optimism that Yusuf will get his contract issue settled out.
