Industrial Court Restrains NLC From Embarking On Strike

A National Industrial Court, on Tuesday, granted the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami an order restraining the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) from embarking on a national strike.

The NLC had on Saturday, threatened to embark on a national industrial action in an attempt to coerce the government to revert the increase in price of petrol.

But the court, which was presided over by Justice Babatunde Adejumo, restrained the congress from the planned action pending the hearing and determination of the suit brought before it by the AGF.
