Truck Crushes Three To Death On Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway

An accident involving a truck and a Bajaj motorcycle claimed three lives around toll-gate on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said on Friday.

FRSC Sector Commander, Clement Oladele, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said three men and two women were involved in the accident.

He said a passerby was among those killed while one person also sustained injuries during the accident.

Oladele said the accident happened at about 12.59 p.m. on Thursday.

According to him, the truck with registration number KRD 72 XY had brake failure and rammed into the Bajaj motorcycle with registration number AKM039 UP.

“The corpse of the victims have been deposited at the General Hospital, Ifo, and the only survivor was receiving treatment at General Hospital, Ota,” he said.

Oladele said the sum of N72,930 which was recovered from the victims had been handed over to their relations.
