Twitter Celebrates Miss Nigeria For ‘Killing’ Xenophobia As S/African Wins Miss Universe Pageant

Miss Universe 2019 is the 68th edition of the Miss Universe competition which was held on December 8, 2019 at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States.

Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa at the end of the event was crowned the winner, defeating among others, Miss Nigeria (Olutosin Araromi) who the audience believed showed positive energy.

Although she lost the contest to her South African counterpart, Araromi was celebrated for showing love to the winner despite the hostilities between Nigeria and South Africa due to recent xenophobic attacks in that country.

According to reactions from fans “Miss Nigeria might have not won miss universe, but she won many ppl’s heart with her love for Zozi, her fellow African”.
