UTME 2024: JAMB Registers Over 1 Million Candidates In Three Weeks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has registered over 1 million candidates for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in three weeks.

THE WHISTLER reports that the sale of the UTME form started on January 15, 2024 and would elapse on February 26 2024.

JAMB in its Weekly Bulletin shared by its spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin disclosed that 1,072,122 candidates have so far been registered.

The Board has fixed March 7, 2024 for the 2024 Mock-UTME, while the main UTME will be held from April 19 to 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Board has disclosed that it has remitted the sum of N674,272,200 to Computer Based Test (CBT) centres as registration charges for candidates that registered for the examination in three weeks.

Breaking down the amount, JAMB stated that in one week, N98,712,600 was remitted to the CBT owners, N295,703,800 for the second week and N279,855,800 for the third week.

The Board had earlier disclosed that it will be remitting the registration charges to the centers every week until the registration elapses.
