Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has reignited his long-standing rivalry with fellow artiste David Adeleke, a.k.a. Davido, taking to social media to call him “wack” and dismissed his entire discography as “trash.”
A fresh fight started on Tuesday on X (formerly Twitter) after Davido teased a snippet of his upcoming 2024 single, coinciding with Wizkid’s planned release of a track from his highly anticipated “Morayo” album.
The latest exchange began just months after their previous clash on X, which also involved Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy.
Back in May, Wizkid dismissed Don Jazzy as an “influencer” and shared a video of Davido on his knees, pleading for new music.
However, the situation took a twist when Davido’s associate, Kayode Yajaur, known as Black Tycoone, appeared to mock Wizkid on X, saying, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already,” referring to the delay in Wizkid’s album release.
In response, Wizkid threw shade at Davido’s camp, posting on X, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!”

Although Wizkid did not directly mention Davido, fans of the “unavailable” singer quickly interpreted the post as a clear shot at the singer.
In defence of Davido, one fan tweeted, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?”
Wizkid fired back, stating, “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!” He went on to dismiss Davido’s entire music catalogue as “trash,” boasting about his own superiority with, “80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop! P***y boys!”
Despite the barrage of insults, Davido has remained silent, as fans speculate about his next move.
Some fans believed that the tension may have been fueled by Davido’s recent performance at Tony Elumelu’s UBA anniversary event in the United States.

While Davido entertained the crowd and posed for pictures with the billionaire businessman, Wizkid, who is a UBA brand ambassador, was noticeably absent.
The renewed feud has sparked reactions on social media, with many criticising Wizkid for stoking the rivalry, others await whether Davido will break his silence and respond.
