ZAMFARA: Gunmen Attack Chinese Company, Kill Policemen, NSCDC Officers

No fewer than six persons were reportedly killed following an attack on a Chinese company in Birnin Tudu, Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Unknown gunmen were said to have invaded the company identified as PGP company in an operation that lasted over an hour, leaving two mobile police officers dead.

Two personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and two civilians were also reported killed.

The armed group had also set ablaze a Hilux patrol vehicle of the security operatives and carted away their arms.

The incident which occurred on Monday, HumAngle reports.

The PSG company, until the attack works for Trimming Project in Bakori Irrigation Scheme, at Bakalori Dam in Maradun LGA of the state.

The identities of the slain security officials were given as: Ahmed Murtala; Yusuf Usama Sgt; Ibrahim Bello Sgt; Zaharadden Yushau Sgt; Sani Abubakar (Nscdc); Tanimu Muhammad (Driver).

Some of the officials who got injured were said to be receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau.

Zamfara has witnessed attacks by armed groups in recent times. On Friday, no fewer than 61 persons were reportedly killed in Zurmi LGA of the state.

Also, on June 8, about 60 women were reportedly kidnapped in three villages namely Munawa, Malele, and Randa, in Maru LGA.
