“We wish to notify you that the Presidency has shifted the commissioning date for the Aba Integrated Power Project (Aba IPP) from Saturday, February 24, 2024, to Monday, Feb 26, 2024,” the statement read.

Geometric Power apologised for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change in date and urged invitees to attend the event on the new date, Monday, February 26.

The Aba IPP is a 141 megawatts gas-fired power station built by Geometric Power to provide electricity to Aba residents and Small and Medium Enterprises in the commercial city.

The power project has suffered years of delays but is now finally set for commissioning after the resolution of issues around gas supply.
