Alao-Akala May Return To PDP As Party Leaders Meet Former Gov In Lagos

The Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday held a meeting with former Governor of Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.

It was gathered that the meeting which was held at a hotel in Ikeja, Lagos was aimed at convincing the former governor to return to his former party.

Sources close to the former governor revealed that the PDP delegation was led by the deputy governor of a very strong Northern state, a serving senator, a member of the National Assembly of the party and also a serving House of Reps member from Oyo State was in the delegation.

The source said, ” The PDP leaders held a meeting with Otunba Akala. They talked to him for long and wanted him to return to his former party.”.

Efforts to speak with Alao-Akala were unsuccessful.

But the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Diran Odeyemi, when contacted said the party was open to Akala and others who might want to join the club.
