Barcelona Announces New Signing From Sao Paulo, Sets Buy-Out Clause At 300 Million Euros

Barcelona have completed the signing of teenage sensation Gustavo Maia, from Brazilian club side, Sao Paulo.

The club announced the 4.5 million Euros signing on Thursday and have subsequently pegged his buy out clause at 300 million Euros to ward off potential suitors.

Maia will play in the Barcelona Team B where he will fight for his place in the main team.

The Catalan giants started proceedings to the eventual purchase back in March when they paid and initial 1 million Euros to Sao Paulo to secure an exclusive rights to the player’s signature and have in past days completed the remaining 3.5 million Euros to complete a five year contract.
