Beirut Explosion: American Preacher Donates Plane-load Of Health Materials To Lebanon

President of the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, Evangelist Franklin Graham, announced on Saturday, that a plane-load of health materials from the ministry, as well as its medical personnel were flying to Lebanon to support the country’s response to the disaster caused by a recent blast.

He disclosed this on Facebook. “Samaritan’s Purse has airlifted relief supplies and a team of disaster relief staff to Beirut, Lebanon, to begin helping those affected by this week’s massive explosion that killed more than 150 people and injured some 5,000.

“The DC-8 was loaded with tarps, hygiene items, and solar lights; our team will be working….to assist this devastated community,” he stated.

Graham also called on everyone around the world to intercede for the country in this trying time.

“Please pray for the people of Lebanon as they recover from this tragedy.

“The country and the people are devastated.

“Please pray for the families who lost loved ones and those who have been most impacted by this horrible incident,” he stated.

Recall that General Michel Aoun, had called for help, citing the explosion that took place in the country as an “unprecedented” crisis.

The World Health Organization (WHO) also stated that about 300,000 people have been displaced, due to the incident.
