Ben Carson Endorses Donald Trump

Dr. Carson, who suspended his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination last week, is perhaps the most high-profile republican figure to endorse Trump after New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

At a news conference at a Trump-owned Mar-a-Lago luxury club in Florida U.S, Carson said there are “two Donald Trumps” — including a measured side of someone who “considers things carefully.”

Carson also warned the Republican Party leaders who are opposed to Trump’s emergence as Republican flag-bearer in the upcoming presidential election. He said, – it is “extremely dangerous” if political parties seek to “thwart the will of the people” and must let the “voice of the people be heard.”

During a Republican presidential debate aired on CNN on Thursday night, Trump confirmed securing Carson’s backing. He said they discussed Carson’s ideas on education and other topics earlier in the day.

“We spoke for over an hour on education. And he has such a great handle on it,” Trump said. “I’m going to have Ben very involved with education, something that’s an expertise of his.”

Carson who earlier spoke warmly of Trump during an appearance on Thursday on a U.S radio Fox News Radio said:

“There’s two Donald Trumps. There’s the Donald Trump that you see on television and who gets out in front of big audiences, and there’s the Donald Trump behind the scenes,” he said. “They’re not the same person. One’s very much an entertainer, and one is actually a thinking individual.”

Carson’s endorsement of Trump may surprise many as Trump once compared Carson’s childhood temperament to that of a child molester and questioned his religious conversion.

He also questioned Carson’s account of trying to stab a friend when he was young.

“Violent Criminal? Or pathological liar?” he asked during a campaign event. “We don’t need either as president.” he added.
