BUHARI: ‘Eye Service’ El-Rufai Knocked For Kneeling To Greet President At APC NEC Meeting

Barely one week after coming under criticism for kneeling before Kogi people to seek forgiveness for Governor Yahaya Bello, Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, was seen again kneeling to greet President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday.

In a video shared on social media by presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, Governor El-Rufai was seen kneeling to greet Buhari during the president’s arrival for the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

During the governorship campaign of the APC in Kogi State, Governor El-Rufai, who headed the campaign of the party in the state, was seen in a video kneeling before the people of Kogi to beg them to re-elect Bello.

“Many people say Yahaya Bello is young and that he has fought many people. For every one that the governor has offended, I am asking all of you to forgive him. He is young, he is supposed to make mistakes. When you are young, you make mistakes, but you are supposed to learn from him. On his behalf, I am kneeling down to beg all of you to forgive Yahaya Bello if he has offended you,” he had said.

But some Nigerians who reacted to the video on social media expressed discontentment with the governor’s action.
