Buhari’s ‘Bride’ Marries Chief Of Air Staff

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, have reportedly married at a private ceremony last week.

THE WHISTLER had reported how President Muhammadu Buhari was rumoured to be planning to take Farouq as ‘second wife’ in October 2019.

The speculation was intense to the point that the Mosque located inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, recorded an unprecedented attendance on October 11, 2019, by Muslim faithful who hoped to witness Buhari’s wedding to Farouq.

But reports now indicate that the humanitarian affairs minister got wedded to the Chief of Air Staff on September 18, 2020.

The wedding fatiha between Abubakar and Farouq was held at the Maitama Juma’a Mosque in Abuja, reports Daily Trust.

The newspaper quoted a source as saying, “They have been in a relationship for a while and what happened on Friday has put to rest all the speculations about her relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari.”
