Carlo Ancelotti Set To Join Everton As Head Coach By End Of Week

Carlo Ancelotti has been tipped as the new head coach of premier league side Everton. He is expected to join the club by end of the week.

60-year-old Ancelotti was said to have reached an agreement late Monday to succeed Marco Silva as new Everton coach.

Meanwhile, the club released a statement on Monday night insisting that its board had not yet offered a contract to any candidate and that no candidate had withdrawn interest for the position.

“In the 11 days since Marco Silva left the club, the Everton board has been working to recruit a new permanent manager-and has held meetings with a number of candidates.

“we can confirm that thus far no contract offer has been made and no candidate has chosen to withdraw from the process.” The statement reads.

They also confirmed caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson, who had won Chelsea and managed a draw against Manchester United, to lead the team to the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Leicester on Wednesday.

The Italian won the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Community Shield during his stay at Chelsea in 2009 and 2011.

Ancelotti has to his credit three Champions Leagues, league titles in France, Italy and Germany where he had his last shot.
