“At this point, I like to appreciate and deeply acknowledge the efforts of governments, particularly our government here in Nigeria, towards a no-spread of the virus,” he said.

He also said that human efforts had in the past, floored the spread of other deadly viruses to the bearest minimum.

“I know that there are many terminal diseases today and by the coordinated effort of people, they have been out under some arrest, and this one will go the same way it came,” he said.

But the cleric said that despite the efforts put in place, people should realize that the virus is an attempt by the devil to destroy the human race, adding that covid-19 is a global oppression of the devil aimed at bringing a total collapse of nations.

“I know efforts are being made here and there but it must not get to a point where we watch the devil hold the entire world to ransom because of one plague.

“I want us to see beyond the natural things that we see and hear and see the need to look up to God for a bail out,” he said.

He said that when all options are deployed, God remains the ultimate source of help to mankind.

“It is time to look up to God because only the help of God can bail a man out of a crossroad such as this.”
He called for calm and stressed that fear would not solve the problem at hand.

“I therefore want to appeal to everyone listening to me today, let go of fear.
