COVID-19: Israeli PM Approves $135 For Disabled Citizens, Others

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has approved a special grant of 500 Israeli New Shekel ($135) stipends to the disabled population of the country.

This was disclosed on Thursday on the official Twitter account of the Prime Minister of Israel.

The grant was to cushion the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic as well as enable the citizens celebrate the Passover holiday( around Easter period)

Netanyahu had on Wednesday, directed the Finance minister to give same amount to every Israeli family (with one to four children) and every senior citizen.

According to him, this year’s celebration would be done within the nuclear family level, due to the global public health advisory on covid-19.

“Every father and mother will have Passover with the children that live with them in the same house with strict observance, of course, of the rules of hygiene,” the government tweeted.

Passover is a religious holiday or festival noted by ceremonies each year, mostly by Jewish people.
