COVID-19: No Death As Nigeria Records 180 New Cases, 73 Recoveries

Nigeria recorded 180 new cases of COVID-19 in 14 states and a total of 73 recoveries on Thursday.

Lagos topped the chart as the state with the highest cases of the virus.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Thursday’s figures take the total of confirmed cases to 63,508 while total recoveries hit 59,675.

The agency also noted that the country recorded no deaths in the past three days, maintaining a total of 1,155 deaths so far.

The Director General of the NCDC, Chikwe Ihekweazu had earlier warned of the possibility of a second wave of infections if Nigerians did not adhere to stipulated safety protocols.
