Delta Begins Distribution Of Face Masks To Patients In Health Facilities

In a bid to stop the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Delta State Ministry of Health on Thursday flagged-off the distribution of face masks to health facilities across the state.

Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Minnie Oseji, disclosed this in Asaba, the state capital, when she distributed the face masks allotted to Okwe-Asaba Medical Zone.

A statement posted on the Facebook page of the state government on Thursday, said “Oseji informed the Medical Director in-charge of Okwe-Asaba Zonal Medical Hospital that the face masks were for all the Unit Hospitals under the Zone and strictly for all the newly registered antenatal patients that will attend the antenatal clinics.”

The state has a total of 22 confirmed cases of the virus, with 4 deaths.
