Don’t Visit Friends To Spread Coronavirus, UK PM Urges Citizens

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has advised citizens not to visit their friends to avoid further spike in covid-19 infections.

The National Health Service(NHS) also floated an advertorial, which reads : ” Controlling the virus means no visits to friend’s homes”.

“Don’t visit your friend’s house this weekend,” Boris Johnson tweeted on Saturday.

However, he recommended that if one must see their friends, they should not enter their houses and that they could exchange pleasantries outside.

“If you do see a friend, only meet up with one person outside your homes, and remain 2 metres apart.

This is coming after the government had laid out five conditions (reduction in daily covid-19 deaths among others) that would warrant the lifting of the Coronavirus lockdown

As of the time of the report, 33,998 people have died from covid-19 in the UK, out of 236,711 infections, according to latest Worldometer data.
