EFCC Arrests Seven Internet Fraudsters In Enugu

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Enugu zonal office, has arrested seven internet fraudsters in Enugu over various offences. A release by Dele Oyewale, head, media and publicity of the
anti-graft agency, and made available to newsmen in Enugu, gave the names of the suspects as Ebere Tochukwu, Onuh Harrison, Christian Ogbonna, Ojobo Kingsley, Eze Charles, Princewill Nwalu and Ekene
Ibekaku.

It was gathered that the suspects were arrested at Loma Linda Extension, Enugu, following intelligence reports signalling them as members of a syndicate that defraud unsuspecting members of the public, especially foreigners through the internet.

According to the statement, the items recovered from them were three exotic cars (Lexus ES 350, Benz C300 and a Toyota Camry), several mobile phones and laptops. Oyewole added that they had made useful information in the course of interrogations and would be charged to court soon.
