End Of Boko Haram Near, Says Army Chief

Maj.-Gen. Stevenson Olabanji, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division, on Tuesday reassured that Operation LAST HOLD will end activities of Boko Haram in the Northeast.

Stevenson gave the assurance while addressing troops at Gubio and Damasak in Borno state.

He stressed that the end has come for the terrorists, adding that operation was designed to fish the remnants of the terrorists from their enclaves and islands in Lake Chad region.

He urged the troops to be committed and steadfast during the final onslaught against insurgents adding that they should be courageous and discipline during the final assault on the insurgents’ enclaves.
