Fani-Kayode Bombarded With ‘Stupid Questions’ As Ex-minister Arrives Ibadan For Tour

As he arrived Ibadan to begin another tour, Twitter users have bombarded former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, with the ‘stupid question,’ who is bankrolling you?

The former minister, in a series of tweets, announced his arrival in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital to inspect projects executed by Governor Seyi Makinde.

Fani-Kayode tweet reads, “Flew into Lagos yesterday with the Gov. of Akwa Ibom from Uyo, spent the night at the George Hotel for a rest and to see old friends, attended Bishop Isaac Idahosa’s 31st year Church anniversary in the afternoon & left Lagos to arrive at State House, Oyo State one hour ago.”

But some of those who replied to his tweets have continued to ask him the same question which got him angry at a press briefing in Calabar, last week.

The forner minister had got angry when a reporter with Daily Trust, Eyo Charles, asked him who was bankrolling his tour of some states in recent time.

He called the journalist stupid and tongue-lashed him at the press conference. But he came under fire after that and was forced to apologise.

Not satisfied with not providing answer to the same question, Twitter users have continued to demand an answer to who is footing his bills on these tours.

Aliyu Hassan Hadejia, @Chuchus16 also asked, “Who is bankrolling you?”

Adedotun Adesanya, @dotoracs, “He’s been in politics for 30years? Or “in & out” of politics for 30years. That aside, where or under what name does he practice this law? His family are rich. Really? This is someone who is just forcing his relevance if you ask me. Our sense of wealth is quite warped in Nigeria.”

Mr Who, @frankiziod1, “I guess now people should know that the journalist asked a very good question. Cause all this your visit please who is bank rolling it please sir??? Abi Na free ni ?”

But some users beleive that the ceaseless attacks on the former minister were aimed at distracting Nigerians from the alleged failure of the All Progressives Congress government .
