Under Fashola’s Watch, More Nigerians Have Died From Generator Fumes – Omokri

*Says Buhari's Change Doesn't Mean Progress

Reno Omokri has blamed the surge in number of deaths resulting from generator fumes on Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing.

The former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan claimed that more Nigerians have died from generator fumes under the current administration than ever recorded in the country’s history.

Omokri said Mr. Fashola has failed to live up to expectations after he (Fashola) boasted that “any serious government will fix Nigeria’s power problem in six months”.

He said: “I hope Babatunde Raji Fashola, who promised that the ONLY way to get power is to vote out PDP, is reading of the almost daily deaths of Nigerians from generator fumes!

“Google ‘Nigeria death from generator fumes’ and you will find out that NEVER in the history of Nigeria have people been dying from inhaling generator fumes in the quantum that it is happening today.

“Today, Nigeria is generating less power than it was on July 12, 2014 when Fashola made that statement. Because Fashola and President Muhammadu Buhari have disappointed them, Nigerians now spend $5 billion annually importing generators! (Please Google this if you think I am lying).

“You see my people, change does not always mean progress!,” he said in a post on Facebook.
