A Northern group, the Arewa Youth Assembly has cast a vote of confidence on the newly appointed Coordinator of Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Chief Felix Obuah, who is a staunch ally of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

On March 12, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Obuah to the council, an appointment that would trigger excitement. The office has been vacant for some time, which led the president to fill the existing vacancy in the agency of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

The Nigerian governmentt hopes to transform its capital city into a tourist destination, boost economic activities in the city and earn revenue.

At the heart of the ambition is Wike who is expected to replicate his achievements as a former governor of Rivers State.

With the appointment of Obuah, the Speaker of Arewa Youth Assembly, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, said the appointment would help the FCT Minister achieve the target set for him.

Danlami in a response sent to THE WHISTLER argued that Obuah’s appointment was long overdue as his “Wealth of experience lying untapped.”
